GEOGRAPHICAL LOCATION

Major trunk road linking Akomadan, the centre of Misthy Cee to Techiman

Misthy Cee Development Centre is situated in Ashanti Regional Parameters of Ghana. Specifically in the Northern part of Ashanti Region within the demarcations of Ofinso North District and based in Akomadan.

CLIMATIC REGION
Climate is the regular pattern of weather condition of an area and wonderfully, Misthy Cee Development Centre is in the serene atmosphere in terms of Temperature dynamism, Rainfall patterns, Humidity and even wind distribution.
However, Wet Semi Equatorial is the name of the climatic region of the centre. It is being characterized by two main rainfall seasons and the mean annual rainfall between 1250mm and 1750mm.

TEMPERATURE
The temperature at the centered is very cordial to cushion all kinds of people around the globe who will wish to visit the centre. The Annual Mean Temperature is 80 degree (f) and 26.5 degree (Cel).This is an indication that foreigners can come to the centre for their relaxation and touring related missions and also have the experience of fostering the orphans.
However, the hottest month of the year is either March or April and the coolest is August.

RAINFALL PATTERN
Rainfall pattern is very favorable; the region of the centre received two main rainfall regimes. March to July and the September to October. The rainfall in terms of measure has been rated in between 1250mm-1500mm.

WIND DISTRIBUTION
The region of the center experienced moist wind all the year but in the month of November the effect of the harmattan is felt at the region of the centre but not all that much.

VEGETATION
The region has a good vegetation type; it is called Moist Semi-Deciduous Forest. Several Trees Grown at this region and they are in layers. Some of the local names are Odum, Sepale (Obeche) Mahogany. These trees have much economic value for Ghana as nation etc.

HUMIDITY
The amount of moisture in the region of the centre is generally reasonable for human habitation.

SOIL TYPE
The soil type is forest Ochrosols which is very good in supporting farming activities with good tree crops germination like Cocoa, Coffee, Maize, plantain, cassava tomatoes and others is also found at the region where the centre is.

MINERAL
The centre of the region is endowed with Gold and other valuable minerals hence Obuasi gold mines

TOURISM POTENTIALS
Lake Bosomtwi a very large natural lake in Ghana can be found in the region where the Centre is situated. Local Kente Industry (LKI) at Bonwire is also closer to the Centre, Ahiaa Wood Calving Industry (AHWCI), Ntonso Kente Industry these make the tourist who comes to the Centre have a view of it and at times buy some kente clothes to their love ones who stays in their country and it helps the visitors who come to the centre to have a good sightseeing and recreations. The Boabeng- Fiema Monkey Sanctuary near Nkonranza and also Mole Natiomal Park.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
The region has a pure traditional administration with their paramount seat in Kumasi, rule under his chieftaincy” Nana Osei Tutu II Asante Hene”.The major festival is Akwasidae.
Adowa and Kete are the main traditional war dancing used to the tune of Atumpan with well rich regalia to portray how the tradition is colorful and meaningful.

OCCUPATION
At Akomadan where the centre is, the community is farming bias with the major crop which sustain their living is Tomatoes, the town supplies all regions of Ghana Tomatoes and even some part of west Africa Countries. There are also administrative works and also private sector job
